Overview

Joseph Cooch focuses his practice on all aspects of the construction industry, including representation of owners, contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in commercial, government, agricultural, industrial and residential construction.  He has successfully litigated disputes before juries, judges, arbitration panels, and the U.S. Civilian Board of Contract Appeals.

Joe also draws from his extensive litigation experience to help clients avoid disputes through implementation of effective risk management practices and careful drafting and negotiation of construction, design, and design-build contracts.

Joe’s experience includes litigation and construction law matters in both public service in and the private sector.  Prior to joining Lenhart Pettit, he served as Assistant General Counsel in the U.S. General Services Administration’s Real Estate Litigation group. 

Joe lives in Ivy with his wife Nisha, a Charlottesville native, and their son.

Licensed in the District of Columbia and Maryland. Virginia license pending.
