Founding Member Ralph Feil has helped to guide the growth and success of the firm, including its predecessors, for more than 40 years. His ethical standards and the respect of his peers are reflected in his service as an instructor in Legal Ethics for the Virginia State Bar, in his service on the Seventh District Disciplinary Committee, and in the leadership positions he has been asked to assume, both in the bar and in civic organizations.

While his major practice focus is Family Law, in which he is qualified in the Collaborative Law Process, other practice concentrations include Corporate & Business, Real Property, Property Owners Associations, Estate Planning & Administration, and General Business Law, including civil litigation matters in these areas.

He and his wife of 43 years, Punkie, have raised three, now married, daughters in Charlottesville and are now happily assisting with five active grandchildren. They greatly enjoy history of family and the area, social events and golf with friends, travel and water sports on the Potomac River.
