Lenhart Pettit awarded for contributions to Blue Ridge Area Food Bank

Lenhart Pettit continued its tradition of participating in the annual statewide Legal Food Frenzy this year, raising 41,075 pounds of food for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Lenhart Pettit was recognized with the "Hanover Tomato Award" for collecting the most donations per capita for a medium-sized law firm - at an average of 754 pounds per person.

The Legal Food Frenzy is an annual project of the VBA Young Lawyers Division in collaboration with the Office of the Attorney General and the Federation of Virginia Food Banks to provide food to assist people who might otherwise go hungry. As of 2017, Virginia law firms, law schools, and individual attorneys have raised the equivalent of more than 14.2 million pounds of food for the local community through the Legal Food Frenzy program.
