Elizabeth “Liz” C. Southall Joins the Law Firm of Flora Pettit in its Charlottesville Office

Flora Pettit is pleased to announce that Elizabeth C. Southall has joined the law firm as an attorney in its Charlottesville office.

Liz has practiced law in Charlottesville since 2015, following a judicial clerkship in the 13th Judicial Circuit of Virginia. Liz focuses her practice on litigation in the areas of family law, real estate, local government law, intentional torts, and negligence. She has litigated and resolved matters involving real property disputes, trucking and motor vehicle accidents, fraud, business torts, breach of contract, premises liability, and municipal liability. Liz also enjoys advising and representing school boards, local government entities, and their employees in claims involving civil rights violations, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and state statutory violations.

A native of Amelia County, Liz received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her law degree from University of Richmond School of Law, where she was a teaching assistant, served on the Editorial Board of the University of Richmond Law Review, and graduated cum laude. Liz has been named a Virginia Rising Star by Super Lawyers, Thomson Reuters 2020-2023.
